looking back, this was a really good race for me. if i remember correctly, i came through the mile in 4:56 ish, and it felt really comfortable. when i heard that split however, i think i thought it was too fast, so i slowed the middle part down way too much. this was a good indicator of my fitness; and it's always such a fun trip.

this was easily the hardest Xc race i've ever raced. the course was at a cross country ski course at about 7,000 feet in the mountains. the hills were insane; steeper and longer than anything i've ever seen. but it was really fun. the times were incredibly slow, but i raced hard. fun trip too.
